Child Parent Institute

Classes, individual consultations, resource assistance and supervised visits that offer support for parents, grandparents or other caregivers of infants, children and teens. We offer therapy to children ages 6 through 21 who are struggling with depression, anxiety, reactions to traumatic experiences, and a wide range of other difficult life issues. Our therapists are trained and experienced in play therapy, art therapy, sand tray therapy, and a variety of talk therapies, based on the individual child’s age and needs. We meet with parents and provide support as they navigate these difficult times alongside their child or teenager. Sometimes it is beneficial for the whole family to engage in therapy together. Our Child and Family Counseling Clinic now accepts: Private pay using a sliding scale for any child, youth, or parent; Beacon (Medi-Cal/Partnership); and Victim Assistance. Sliding scale fees, based on your income, ability to pay, and other health care coverage, are determined in consultation with a CPI Intake Specialist and can be used for any child, youth, or parent.
